The massive Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring introduces a wealth of new formidable legendary weapons. Here's a guide on how to get the top 5 best legendary weapons in the Elden Ring DLC. If you need the best legendary armaments for your build or strategy, at least one of these top best Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree armament is certain to help

1. Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword

The first best and easiest Elden Ring DLC legendary armament for you to get is going to be the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword. This is also a very strong weapon that scales with physical and magic damage. Moreover, it has very strong attacks and a very strong Ash of War. White light charge sends you forward and using the Ash of War button bursts in the lightning. This causes a ridiculously high amount of damage.

Locations & Routes

If you want this best Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree legendary armament, you need to come to the Ruined Forge a Starfall Past Cave. Once in here, progress through like normal until you come to the ledge above all the other ledges. Once you're up here, drop down, go to the other side, and pull the lever. This lever is going to lower the gate. Once it's lower, go to the other side and pull the lever again. This is going to raise the gate up and when it's going up, you need to jump on top of the gate. Once you've done that, come to the room and pull your new weapon out of the forge.

2. Sword of Dark

The next best Elden Ring Sote legendary weapon you'll be able to get is the Sword of Dark. This is a very unique sword that you might have right now but you don't have its full version.

Locations & Routes

First come to the Castle Front Grace, from here go to the Fog Rift Catacombs. Progress through until you find a big open room with three sets of spikes falling from the ceiling. Come to the stage, then jump on top of the spikes and run across them into the back. Once you do, you can find the first iteration of this weapon which is the Stone-Sheathed Sword. You should check your inventory to see if you have it. Now that you have that it's time to get the Sword of Dark which from the main gate plaza. Come out and to the right, go up the stairs and take another right when you're at the top and then go down the ladder.

Once you're down here, hit the fake wall and proceed until you find the stone coffin. Take it down and now you should be at the Castle Watering Hole Grace. Come to the backside of the ruined castle, jump up and you can find the Sword of Dark. There's another way you can get in by jumping on top and then throwing a fire jar into a fire giant. But this is a way easier to do if you're looking to save some time.

3. Sword of Light

Sword of Light will remove the Sword of Dark but Sword of Light is better. For this sword, you have to come all the way to the Rauh Ancient Ruins, West Grace.

Locations & Routes

To obtain the Sword of Light in Elden Ring, players must first defeat Commander Niall, who is located at Castle Sol in the Mountaintops of the Giants region. Castle Sol can only be accessed after acquiring two Haligtree Medallions and using them to lower the lift at the Apostate Derelict. Once Commander Niall is defeated, players should look for his golden remembrance in the boss arena. Taking this remembrance to Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold will allow the player to choose either the Blasphemous Blade or the Sword of Light as a reward.

  • Sword of Dark vs Sword of Light

Both of these swords scale with faith and share literally the same stats sometimes. The only change that's very noticeable is the Ash of War on both these so you should really base your decision off of its Ash of War. You’d better use the Sword of Light and that's because the Sword of Dark's Ash of War is very hard to get off. You'll be standing in place, using it waiting for it to hit the enemy, and obviously using this on bosses isn't ideal. The Sword of Lights’ Ash of War is way more likely to hit. But on top of that, you get a 20% damage buff to holy damage, so we would definitely recommend using the Sword of Light instead.

4. Velvet Sword of ST Trina

The next Elden Ring DLC best armament you should find is the Velvet Sword of ST Trina. When you pick this up, it doesn't say it's legendary. This weapon against certain enemies and bosses is insanely good. Since it has a new Ash of War called Eternal Sleep which makes bosses and enemies obviously sleep. While they're asleep, you can continuously hit them. Some bosses will stagger for a few seconds but like the Apostles, they'll fall asleep and you can whack them to death.

Locations & Routes

To find this, you need to make your way all the way to the Cerulean Coast. You can get here by taking the path that leads down to the Castle Front Grace. Follow the caves and the waterfall path all the way until you get into The Fissure. Get to the Fissure Cross Grace and from here, jump into the big boat. Coming to the left corner, you're going to slide down and land below. Run into the cave, then get sucked up, grab the sword and now you have it.
