With Just One Finger Elden Ring Streamer Conquers Margit
A streamer playing Elden Ring has demonstrated that it is possible to defeat Margit with a single finger, and they intend to finish the game in the same manner. Challenge runs are a staple of FromSoftware's catalog and have only grown more popular (and ridiculous) over the years. MissMikkaa is famous for her Elden Ring challenge runs, which only get more and more ridiculous after each one. What began as what appeared to be impossible attempts to complete Dark Souls without taking a hit or leveling up has become a content powerhouse among YouTube creators and Twitch streamers. Over the course of the past year, MissMikkaa has made a name for herself by participating in various challenges of this kind. Earlier this year, she bested Malenia in two distinct versions of the game at the same time, one of which was connected to a controller while the other was connected to a dance pad. Even getting that achievement only took 199 tries, which is fewer than some people have racked up when playing a single version of Elden Ring the traditional way. However, MissMikkaa was not content and is now attempting to beat Elden Ring using only one finger on the controller.
The following video provides a controller point of view that demonstrates how MissMikkaa has remapped the majority of the game's buttons in order to make this playable. This may be of interest to anyone who is curious about how this is even practically possible. The R1 button on a DualSense controller would normally need to be pressed in order to initiate an attack; however, the D-pad is now being used as the input. Movement is handled by the bottom of her finger, and camera control has been sacrificed, which means that there is a heavy reliance on the target lock to complete encounters. It is amazing to think that not even a day after this clip was posted to Twitter, MissMikkaa has gone on to defeat the Fire Giant, which means that she is likely to finish the challenge at any moment. Before a single finger can lay claim to the title of Elden Lord, they must first prevail in all five of the game's mandatory boss fights. It has only taken her a little over ten hours to reach and defeat the Fire Giant, at a very respectable rune level of 72. What makes the run even better is that MissMikkaa is now using the Ringed Finger, a Hammer made out of a literal finger encased by several rings.
