The Elden Ring Invader Employs the Game's Lone Wolves in Order to Carry Out the Ideal Surprise Attack

4/20/2023 5:41:02 PM

The world of Elden Ring is a harsh and unforgiving place, and one cunning intruder has turned nature against their opponents by figuratively dropping an adversary player into a pack of ravenous Lone Wolves. In spite of what their name might imply, Lone Wolves do not hunt alone but rather, like their real-life counterparts, live in packs and hunt together. Although, under the right conditions, Lone Wolves can be surprisingly cute, it is important to remember that they pose just as much of a threat to a Tarnished as any other creature that roams the harsh environment of the Lands Between. Elden Ring features the signature level of challenge that is associated with the developer, FromSoftware, so players who are just starting out should expect a challenging experience. However, despite the fact that players frequently meet their untimely demise at the hands of treacherous foes like Malenia, Blade of Miquella, the open-world nature of Elden Ring affords players the opportunity to devise inventive and one-of-a-kind strategies for vanquishing adversaries. Some of these strategies involve turning the world against an adversary, such as when a Flame Chariot was sent careening off a cliff to its death. Recently, a user on Reddit going by the handle ColdrenSFC shared their own story of knocking an opposing Elden Ring player off a ledge, but instead of falling into nothingness, they discovered a pack of Lone Wolves waiting for them below.

ColdrenSFC spawned next to the player who would become their target, and the two of them went into a cave together

1.  This was demonstrated in a short video that was uploaded to r/EldenRing a few days ago by ColdrenSFC

2.  They found the wolves there, relaxing by a campfire in the evening

3.  ColdrenSFC commits a shocking act of betrayal by stabbing the other player in the back and then pushing them off the ledge, where they are attacked by the now-alert wolves, who continue to do so until their health bar is depleted

4.  As was demonstrated in the preceding example, the multiplayer component of Elden Ring can be just as dangerous as the single-player portion of the game, with players frequently taking each other out in sneaky and inventive ways

5.  After a grueling battle against Malenia, Blade of Miquella, one player discovered that their partner had betrayed them, while other players have encountered strange in-game cults or discovered that they were ambushed in the sinister Lake of Rot

Because of its open-world sandbox, Elden Ring has become one of the most critically acclaimed video games to be released in 2022. This is just one of the many reasons why the game has received such high praise from reviewers. Even a full year after Elden Ring was released to record-breaking sales and multiple Game of the Year Awards, fans are still coming up with interesting ways to take down enemies. These methods can be used against computer-controlled monsters or human opponents who unwittingly set themselves up for a grisly end. ColdrenSFC reveals that the target of their impromptu Lone Wolf trap is new to FromSoftware games like Elden Ring, and their unexpected betrayal and death serve as an introduction that very few people are likely to forget.
