Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Plans Release
The developers behind Elden Ring recently announced an upcoming DLC. It should be called Schatten des Erdbaums or "Shadow of the Erdtree". You can find out what you should know about the release and the content here in our overview.
Elden Ring DLC – When is the release?
This is not yet known. On February 28, 2023, From Software released a teaser regarding an upcoming DLC on their Elden Ring Twitter account.
Unfortunately, there is no date of publication on the teaser. The developers only write here that the DLC is “currently in development”. Nothing more is known about the release.

Elden Ring DLC – What content? Nothing is known about the content at the moment. Despite this, we can use the image as a reference because it says a lot about upcoming content. The picture shows the following:
A blond boy with long hair sitting on the Torrent mount
The surrounding area contains ruins and ghostly remains of tombs
In the distance is darkness and a charred earthen tree
Despite its condition, sacred energy emanates from it in the form of golden dust
Anyone who has now dealt with the lore a little will be able to assume that the boy is Miquella, one of the most fearsome gods in Elden Ring. Don't let his looks fool you, he's not as young as he looks. He is cursed to remain in a child's body.
The setting is also very similar to that of Limgrave or Altus Plateau, with many ruins and ghostly tombs and monuments to be seen there too.
As far as the earth tree is concerned, one can now argue, because it is either an unknown species or the large earth tree that was burned by Melina in the course of the story.
So story wise it could be about Miquella and the charred earth tree and maybe its curse and how to stop it.
How much could the DLC cost?
Nothing is known about the price here either. From Software DLCs are in the $15 range. Depending on the scope and content, however, the price could also double.
